After watching the video "The Story of Stuff" and learning how we as humans go through Extraction, Production, Distribution, Consumption, and Disposal you get a better view of how everything works and that if we continue this process how bad it is for our planet. The Extraction process were blowing up mountains, cutting down trees and killing animals we cut down seven football fields worth of trees every minute that is why deforestation is such a big deal and why people talk about it so much. The Production process we use our resources make more than 100,000 synthetic chemicals we put B.F.R.( ) in out pillows, clothes, and many other things that we use in our day to day life style and B.F.R. can harm our brains in many different ways. The Distribution process we as the U.S make 4 billion pounds of pollution. Chemicals go into to make the product and go out to the consumer/buyer chemicals in chemicals out is what you call it. The Consumption process is a really big/important thing we has humans do we buy and buy and buy for the newest and best things. The biggest example of this that I can make is the Iphone not saying there bad or anything like that but each Iphone may have about one or two things different from the last and you end up paying more and more for just a small little change in design or it may be 0.19 millimeter wider or longer. The Disposal process we as humans throw so much stuff away that can be reused or maybe recycled but I don't need to tell you all that because you should already know but something you probably don't know is that we throw away four pounds worth of trash every week plus the recycling that only half of it actually gets recycled.
